The offer

This role is responsible for driving business growth objectives, increasing product listings, and delivering market share for the key brands in the Urgo Medical portfolio. Working in conjunction with the Marketing and Clinical teams, this position is responsible for building outstanding local relationships to achieve ambitious growth targets.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Planning and implementing a local territory business plan in order to maximise growth
  • Completion of promotional calls to target groups of customers delivering key marketing messages
  • Achievement of business growth targets
  • Achievement of product enlisting targets
  • Implementation of contracts in assigned market segments
  • Developing Regional / National Key Opinion Leaders into Urgo advocates
  • Working with the Marketing team to create/update all marketing material
  • Jointly working with the Clinical Specialist to deliver targets
  • Attendance at internal and external events & conferences
  • Building the Urgo Medical reputation as a key partner in wound care to clinicians (Podiatrists, Endocrinologist, Vascular Surgeons, Wound Care Clinicians)
  • Administrative tasks as required (e.g. CRM updates and management reporting)

Key Expectations

Territory Management

  • Develop and implement a strategic territory plan for the year in conjunction with the Regional Business Manager
  • Develop relationships with key customers and build a strong alignment with KOLs in the territory
  • Drive the hospital enlisting process following state contract awarding notice
  • Co-ordination and follow up of clinical evaluations jointly with the Clinical Specialist to get the products listed in each account
  • Delivering growth and product usage post-enlisting by; providing continuous support to clinicians and procurement, including offering tailor-made education and in-service plans developed with the Clinical Specialist
  • Achievement of business growth targets
  • Achievement of Key Performance Indicators (such as call volumes)

Knowledge & Compliance

  • Maintain a current and comprehensive knowledge of relevant Urgo Medical and competitor products
  • Understand the issues affecting the customers who prescribe our products and patients who use them
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, cutting-edge practices and techniques, current publications & regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Urgo Medical standard operating procedures and policies, ensuring compliance at all times
  • Ensure all Company-related activities comply with relevant acts, legal demands and ethical considerations

Administration

  • Complete required reports within designated timeframes (e.g. expenses, product samples, travel booking forms etc.)
  • Ensure CRM is maintained for accounts, contacts and customer activities
  • Participate in internal meetings as required
  • Liaise with management and staff to ensure all projects are completed on time
  • Master computer skills and required software programs

Candidate profile

About You

  • Successful territory management background, gained ideally within Wound Care or in the medical device / pharmaceutical industry.
  • A clinical background would also be highly regarded along with the ability to connect with clinicians and patients
  • Currently working or recently worked in the Australian public hospital environment with a strong understanding of its system and market access
  • Objectives / Results driven
  • Positive, ‘can do’ attitude and mindset
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with customers
  • Excellent presentation skills – able to confidently convey key messages to their audience
  • Organized, proactive and highly motivated to succeed
  • Current driving license
