Experience Urgo internationally

Since 2011, the URGO Group has banked on international business in its development strategy. It now generates half of its turnover outside France.

Our presence in 20 countries through subsidiaries or strategic partnerships allows us to offer our staff a variety of career paths.

Mathilde Prost

Marketing Manager

The idea of gaining international professional experience has always been in the back of my mind. Joining URGO, a dynamic, innovative company with a strong international presence, was therefore the ideal opportunity to realise this ambition.

I joined the group in 2021 in the French market as Product Activation Manager. I managed operational marketing projects before having the opportunity to join the URGO Graduate Programme. As part of this programme, I spent a year in the field as a pharmaceutical representative, responsible for promoting our products to pharmacists. This commercial immersion was a key step in my career: it gave me a better understanding of the challenges in the field and anchored my marketing vision in the reality of business.

Following this very enriching experience in France, I seized a new international opportunity. I now hold the position of Marketing Manager for the Vietnamese subsidiary, based in Ho Chi Minh City. My role is to define the local marketing strategy and liaise between the head office and local teams in order to adapt and effectively deploy our campaigns on the Vietnamese market.

This experience is particularly stimulating: it allows me to develop skills in intercultural management, rapid adaptation to new environments, cross-functional project management, and decision-making in a fast-growing context.

Geoffrey De Ram

Global Brand Manager

I’ve been working for the URGO Group for eight years already and I’ve had the chance to be able to change on a regular basis, whether in terms of responsibility, product range, distribution channel or location! I joined URGO for my end-of-studies work placement as an international assistant product manager at Laboratoires Urgo Healthcare in Dijon. I then went off on an international business placement to the dynamic Belgian subsidiary, then I continued my experience on site with a local contract for a year and a half. As a pharmacist, I then wanted to move closer to the medical and scientific domain, and I therefore benefited from a pathway to Urgo Medical. After two years as Brand Manager for compression products in France, I wanted to rediscover an international dimension again and I was able to seize an opportunity to become Global Brand Manager on the infection range, a post that has allowed me to work with our teams in numerous countries again.

Senior Product Manager

At the end of my business school studies, I was looking for a dynamic company in the pharma sector that included an international dimension, so as to have the opportunity to go to work abroad during my career. URGO was an obvious choice! I began with one year in LUH’s Incubator Programme, which consists in gaining experience on the ground as a travelling salesperson. I then joined the Business Development team based in Dijon. I spent three years there and participated in the launch of some fifteen products. I continued my adventure at Laboratoire Urgo Healthcare as International Market Manager for the Benelux, MEA and Germany regions for a year and a half. This international operations post enabled me to gain a big-picture view of the issues faced by the subsidiaries. On the strength of this experience, I joined Urgo Healthcare’s Belgian subsidiary in September 2022 as Senior Product Manager in charge of three of the laboratory’s brands.

Head of Digital and E-commerce

Mobility is strongly encouraged within the Group. I joined the Group 14 years ago, starting by working for Laboratoires Juva Santé. I was then able to benefit from two international experiences: as Country Manager in Turkey and then General Manager in Belgium. In 2021, I left Belgium for a new challenge: setting up the “Urgo Healthcare digital tripod” team, working on developing e-commerce and new levers for digital activation.
