Senior Finance Business Partner Role

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to play a pivotal role in supporting our UK Commercial and Industrial operations. This is a high‑impact, forward‑facing role for a commercially astute finance professional who thrives in an operational environment and enjoys influencing decision‑making through insight, analysis and strong business partnering.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will provide financial support across the UK business; delivering robust reporting, actionable insights and data‑led analysis to improve performance and drive better outcomes.

As Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

Commercial & Industrial Reporting & Control

  • Deliver accurate, fully analysed monthly management accounts, supported by clear performance narratives
  • Provide detailed variance analysis across turnover, margin, net sales and costs, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Oversee key balance sheet areas including accruals, fixed assets and provisions
  • Support statutory reporting requirements and the annual audit process

Industrial Finance & Operational Support

  • Take ownership of industrial financial performance – materials, labour, overheads and stock
  • Produce and interpret reporting on operational KPIs such as labour efficiency, material usage and production performance
  • Work closely within the operational environment to investigate variances, identify root causes and support corrective action
  • Maintain and enhance standard costing models and ensure accuracy of ERP master data
  • Challenge existing processes and drive improvements in systems, reporting and data quality

Stock Management, Forecasting & Business Partnering

  • Oversee stock control, valuation and forecasting, aligned to working capital objectives
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to reduce write‑offs and stock risk
  • Act as a trusted finance partner, influencing decisions and identifying margin improvement opportunities
  • Support pricing analysis and contract performance reviews

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budget and forecast cycles across Commercial and Industrial areas
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to build robust, realistic plans
  • Provide clear insight on financial outlook, risks and opportunities to leadership

You’ll be a commercially minded, analytically strong finance professional who enjoys working close to the business and adding value beyond the numbers.

  • ACCA or CIMA qualification (or latter stages), with experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven Finance Business Partnering experience
  • Strong analytical capability with confidence handling large, complex data sets
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Experience of SAP (highly desirable)
  • A track record of detailed variance analysis and seeing issues through to root cause and resolution
  • The ability to influence, challenge and engage non‑finance stakeholders
  • A proactive, curious mindset with the confidence to drive change and improvement
